Real Eggs vs. Plastic (dyeable) Eggs

My mother bought three dozen of these new plastic crafting eggs, which are dyeable, this year for Easter.  I'm not sure if any of you who are reading this have tried these, but I really wasn't all that much impressed. Problem #1:  With the real eggs you are supposed to add the dye tablets to vinegar and water, which is  enough liquid to submerge the egg completely (in a coffee cup).  With the plastic dyeables you use one tablet (tiny) to a mere 4 teaspoons of vinegar and no water.  This was just a pain.  Hunter got so frustrated with…

Happy Easter 2014!

In honor of the upcoming Easter holiday, I wanted to write a post to wish all of my family, friends, and visitors to this page a joyous holiday.  Easter has always been one of my favorite, and most fun, holidays, especially now that I have children of my own. Some of my fondest memories of Easter come from when I was a very young child living with my parents on Jonquil Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
